■ Backstory: Jotunheim is home to the giants. This challenging realm is filled with desolate mountains, glaciers, an endless cold, and the dangerous strength and fury of the giants themselves.

As resources become increasingly scarce in Jotunheim, the giants are resorting to invasion and pillage, threatening the peace of all realms. To put a stop to this, the tribes of the kingdom decide to unite and enter Jotunheim. There, they shall battle the giants and defend their homeland.

However, this alliance is fraught with conflicting interests and competition for precious resources in Jotunheim. Unable to trust each other without an outright leader, the tribes decide to resolve this through competition: each tribe will be represented by their most elite warriors to confront the giants in Jotunheim. Whoever can achieve victory will lay claim to resources and honor, and also establish leadership in the war against the giants.

You must be in a Tribe, and have a Chieftain Hall of at least Level 8 to be eligible for the Battle For Jotunheim event.

Registration Requirements:

1. Your Tribe must have no fewer than 5 Tribal Sentry Towers before the registration phase begins.

2. Your Tribe must also be in the top 20 in total Tribe Might.

How to Register:

The Tribe Leader or officer of an eligible Tribe can register their Tribe at the event lobby during the registration phase. Tribes that are not eligible at the start of the registration phase will not be allowed to participate for that edition of the event.

The event takes place every week.

Match Schedule: Wednesday 15:00-16:00, 19:00-20:00 (Server Time)

■ Process Overview: The Battle For Jotunheim is a conflict between two Tribes. The opposing Tribes will be represented as the Red and Blue factions, each occupying a corner of the event realm, and they will advance towards each other’s territory.

Qualification

At the start of the event, Tribes in each Kingdom, with at least 5 Tribe Sentry Towers, will be ranked based on their Might. The top 20 ranked Tribes will qualify for participation. Once the qualified Tribes are determined, they will not be subject to further changes throughout the registration phase. Tribe Leaders and Rank 4 officers will select the Tribe members who will represent the Tribe in the event as participants. Participant selection will be locked at the end of the registration phase and cannot be changed until the end of the event.

Participants

During the registration period, Tribe Leaders and Rank 4 members can select up to 30 starters and 10 substitutes from among the Tribe members to participate in the event. No changes to the participant list can be made after the registration phase. 10 minutes after the start of the match, if a Tribe is unable to field 30 participants from among the starters, substitutes will be able to enter and participate until there are 30 participants.

Match

1. The Battle For Jotunheim takes place on a brand new instance. Ensure that your Keep is not in the War Frenzy state, no Troops deployed for another activity, and have no reinforcement Troops in the Tribal Hall.

2. Pay attention to the designated color of your Tribe once you enter the event realm. Your actions in the event realm will be indicated by this color.

3. You will have 3 minutes to prepare after entering the event realm. You will not be able to dispatch Troops, occupy buildings, or use relocation during this period but you can use Tribe markers.

4. Once the match begins, buildings will be available to occupy in the following order:

Phase 1: Beast Stables, Forward Bases, and Outposts

Phase 2: Blackforged appears in designated areas of the event realm, and Jotun Towers near the center of the realm will be available to occupy.

Phase 3: The Frostfire Altar periodically produces a Loki’s Runestone for the Tribes to contest and claim.

5. The event realm will close after 1 hour, and the side with the higher cumulative event score will be the winner.

■ Requirements:

Tribe

Tribes must achieve rank 20 or higher in their region’s Tribe Total Might Rankings and own at least 5 Tribe Watchtowers to qualify for the event.

Individual

Chiefs must join the Tribe prior to registration and own a Lv 8 or higher Chieftain Hall to qualify for the event.

■ Battle Rules:

Event Points

The primary objective of the Battle for Jotunheim is to earn more event points. Event points are divided into Tribe Points and Personal Points.

Tribe Points: The side with higher Tribe Points at the end of the match wins.

Personal Points: At the end of the match, participants will receive rewards based on the tier that corresponds with the amount of Personal Points they have earned.

How to Earn Points

There are several ways to earn points in the event realm:

1. Obtaining Loki’s Runestone: The Frostfire Altar at the center of the battlefield periodically produces Loki’s Runestones. Claiming and transporting a Runestone back to your occupied buildings within the specified time will earn you a large amount of Tribe Points and Personal Points.

2. Occupy Buildings: Occupying buildings in the event realm will earn you Tribe Points and Personal Points. Continuous occupation of buildings will generate points over time.

3. Defeat Blackforged: Blackforged will periodically spawn in designated areas of the event realm. Defeating them will earn you Tribe Points and Pesonal Points.

4. Defeat Enemies: Engaging in battles with enemy Troops will earn you Personal Points based on the number of soldiers defeated.

5. Extract Eldhrimite: Dispatch Troops to Eldhrimite Veins to gather Eldrimite in the event realm and transport them back to occupied buildings to earn a small amount of points.

Special Rules

1. Beast Stables: Each Beast Stables in the event realm are permanently owned by a specific faction. They can transport Troops for their faction to designated locations in the event realm. The travel time for the transport convoy is fixed at 15 seconds, and each trip can transport up to 30 Troops. A Chieftain can load multiple Troops onto the transport convoy at any one time. The Beast Stables cannot be scouted, occupied, and do not generate event points.

2. Forward Base: Occupying the Forward Base not only earns event points but also grants Relocations for the Tribe’s use. Relocations are shared among the Tribe and can be used to relocate an event Keep to the vicinity of the Forward Base. The first occupation of the Forward Base grants 5 Relocations, and continuous occupation will grant additional Relocations at regular intervals. Using Relocation in the event realm does not require the Chieftain to first return their Troops to their event Keep.

3. Blackforged and Event Boss: Defeating regular Blackforged not only earns points but also grants a damage buff against the event boss in that area. This buff can stack and will be removed after a certain duration. Defeating the event boss grants a Tribe buff, which applies to all Tribe members in the event realm. The Tribe buff can stack and lasts until the end of the match.

4. Loki’s Runestones cannot be transported into the Safe Zone. If a Runestone enters the Safe Zone, it will instantly return to the Frostfire Altar to be claimed again.

5. The scoreboard in the middle of the event realm can be tapped on to view the breakdown of points earned.

Troop Data

You can use all healthy soldiers and Troops you own in the Battle For Jotunheim event, excluding the wounded soldiers in the Infirmary. Casualties and wounded you sustain in the event realm will not affect the status of your wounded in the Infirmary back in your Kingdom.

Event Casualties

In the Battle for Jotunheim, soldiers will not become casualties upon defeat. They will instead be sent to the event Infirmary as heavily-wounded soldiers. You can use Medicine to accelerate their healing. Your soldiers wounded in the event will instantly recover and returned to you when you leave the event realm at the end of the match.

Wall Damage

The speed of fires burning down walls in the event realm will significantly increase. Extinguish any fires promptly. If the durability of your Keep Walls is reduced to 0, your event Keep will be forced to withdraw to the base zone.

Event Buffs

The following buffs will apply while participating in the Battle for Jotunheim event: Artifacts, VIP levels, Buildings, Skins, Shrine Technology, Hero Talents, Tribe Technology, Tribe Skills, Tribe Titles, and item boosts. Tribe-related buffs need to be activated before the match begins.
